[latch on to the rich and powerful] 〈方〉∶指奉承巴結(jié)、依靠有勢(shì)力有地位的人。又稱“抱大腿”

1.latch on to the rich and powerful; be hanger-on of the rich and powerful; clasp one's thick legs; throw oneself under the protection of sb. of influence or power

比喻巴結(jié)、攀附有錢有勢(shì)的人。《三俠五義》第七六回：“順著 馬強(qiáng) 的竿兒往上爬，一味的抱粗腿?！?郭澄清 《大刀記》開篇十：“ 賈 家的狗腿子站在那高高的門樓子上喊了半天，門前只有幾個(gè)穿袍戴帽專愛抱粗腿的人，在赤手空拳地喳喳呼呼，嘆息不已。”
