[the approximate ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter as calculated by Zu Chong Zhi][數(shù)]∶南北朝時祖沖之算出圓周率的近似值在3.1415926和3.1415927之間,并指出圓周率的約率為22/7,密率為355/113。為了紀(jì)念祖沖之,把他算出的近似值叫做祖率

指我國 南朝 時數(shù)學(xué)家 祖沖之 計算出來的圓周率的近似值，密率為355/113?！段膮R報》1983.12.9：“ 祖沖之 把圓周率的數(shù)值推算到小數(shù)點后七位數(shù)，這在全世界是第一人。 日本 數(shù)學(xué)家曾建議把密率355/113稱為‘祖率’，來紀(jì)念這位 中國 的大數(shù)學(xué)家。”
