[don‘t press on a desperate thief;don‘t push any body to the wall the stag at bay is a dangerous foe] 對(duì)陷入絕境的殘敵不要去追。意指避免敵人拼死掙扎,反而陷于不利境地

窮寇勿追,此用兵之法也。——《孫子》
