[carefully attend the funeral rites of parents and follow them when gone with due sacrifices] 終:指父母喪。遠(yuǎn):指祖先。謂居父母喪要盡禮節(jié)。祭祀要盡虔誠(chéng)?！墩撜Z·學(xué)而》:“曾子曰:‘慎終追遠(yuǎn),民德歸厚矣。’”
